Itinerary

Day 0 - Departure From Bangalore

On Friday, Get picked up in Bangalore from the following points and start your Gangadikal trekking tour. The exact pick-up location and time will be confirmed after the booking.

📍Majestic : Silks and sarees (7:00 PM)

📍Rajajinagara  : Navrang theatre- opp to Sagar hotel bus stand 07:30 PM

📍Yeshwanthpur : Metro station towards Tumkur 08:00 PM

📍Gorguntepalya : People Tree Hospitals- 08:15 PM

Day 1 - Gangadikal Trek (6217ft) (8km)

  • On the first day, you’ll commence your journey with an early morning Jeep ride to reach the Homestay.
  • Have breakfast, we’ll proceed to the Forest check post.
  • Embark on a 10-kilometer trek to reach Gangadikal Peak’s summit, savoring the stunning Shola forest scenery along the way.
  • During our trek to the peak, we’ll pause for Lunch.
  • Upon reaching Gangadikal Peak, you’ll be treated to a sweeping panoramic view, encompassing rolling hills, lush forests, and the awe-inspiring expanse of the Western Ghats.
  • Return to the base camp around 05:00 PM.
  • After a while, have dinner and retire for the night, Enjoy the bonfire, depending on weather conditions.

Day 2 - Sightseeing and Departure

  • Start your day by getting up, freshen up, have breakfast, and depart.
  • Explore the enchanting Somavathi waterfall, taking in its breathtaking beauty.
  • Samse Tea Estate is in the beautiful hills. It makes some of the best and most fragrant teas, showing the area’s long history of growing tea.
  • Proceed to The Belur Chennakeshava Temple, a masterpiece of Hoysala architecture, celebrated for its intricate carvings and devotion to Lord Vishnu.
  • Pause for a self-sponsored lunch on the way.
  • Return to Bangalore around 10:00 PM and get back home with splendid memories.
