About Kotilingeshwara Temple One Day Trip:
A one-day spiritual escape from Bangalore to Kolar, home to the towering 108-ft Kotilingeshwara Shivalinga and millions of smaller lingas spread across a sprawling temple complex — combined with two other historic Shiva and Devi temples along the way.
Kolar’s Kotilingeshwara Temple is a relatively modern but deeply significant pilgrimage site for devotees of Lord Shiva. The name comes from the Kannada word “Koti,” meaning ten million — a fitting name for a temple that houses the world’s tallest Shivalinga at 108 feet, alongside over 90 lakh smaller Shivalingas spread across a 15-acre complex.
Established in 1980, the temple has grown into one of Karnataka’s most visited spiritual landmarks. This day trip pairs a visit to Kotilingeshwara with two other notable Kolar temples — Kolaramma Devi Temple and Someshwara Swamy Temple — giving travelers a full circuit of the region’s temple heritage in a single day.

You’ll receive a confirmation sms/mail of your booking after payment. You’ll be added to a WhatsApp group a day before the trip and information about trip coordinator, pickups, live location of bus etc will be shared there.
The interesting thing about travelling solo is that you get to meet new people from diverse backgrounds, and towards the end, you are no longer strangers. Hence solo travellers are always welcome to join us on our trips.
Safety and security are our priority at all times. Hence it is safe for women/girls to join us on our trips. Our trek leaders accompany the team at all times. We also have female trek leaders who accompany us on most of our treks.
We are extremely sorry, you cannot postpone to any future date in case you fail to attend the trek on the mentioned date for any reasons whatsoever ( family/health/work emergencies ). However, we can reschedule it if you inform us at least 3 days prior to the trip.
