The Nishani Motte Trek starts from Tala Cauvery Temple, which serves as an important pilgrimage site and source point of the River Cauvery. From here, trekkers travel through beautiful shola forests and meadows framed by towering hills and mountains en route. As they progress along their treks, trekkers reach Nishani Motte ridge top and set up camp at an anti-poaching centre campsite. Here they enjoy an authentic hot dinner and a sound sleep before returning downhill through the forest for transport back home on Jeep roads below.

Itinerary

Day 0 - Departure From Bangalore

Depart from Bangalore by a non-AC pushback seater on Friday night. Choose from any of the following pickup points according to your convenience:

📍Majestic : Silks and sarees (7:00 PM)

📍Rajajinagara  : Navrang theatre- opp to Sagar hotel bus stand 07:30 PM

📍Yeshwanthpur : Metro station towards Tumkur 08:00 PM

📍Gorguntepalya : People Tree Hospitals- 08:15 PM

Day 1 - Nishani Motte Trek

  • On the first day, you will reach Homestay Early Morning.
  • Have breakfast, then we’ll proceed to the Forest check post
  • Start the Trek to mighty Nishani Motte peak.
  • During our trek to the peak, There will be a pause for Lunch.
  • Upon reaching Nishani Motte peak, you’ll be treated to a sweeping panoramic view, encompassing rolling hills, lush forests, and the awe-inspiring expanse of the Western Ghats
  • Descend back to the base point, Once you reach the homestay, freshen up and have high tea.
  • After a while, have dinner and retire for the night, Enjoy the bonfire, depending on weather conditions.

Day 2 - Sightseeing and Departure

  • Start your day by getting up, freshening up, and have breakfast
  • Start your day early by visiting the Talakaveri Temple
  • Visit the beautiful Golden Temple in the Tibetian settlement of Coorg.
  • Pause for a self-sponsored lunch on the way.
  • Return to Bangalore around 10:00 PM and get back home with splendid memories.
